Church of Understanding

Purpose

 

We have seen a need for Purpose in this current Existence. It is the definition, and consequential adherence to that Purpose, that creates discord. Because We Believe that each Being is Unique and Individual, their Purpose must also be Unique and Individual.

And though we might want that Purpose to be Divine in nature, we still exist in these physical plain, and must somehow conform to it's Standard of Being. The life of a Mystic Being has often been misunderstood by the very Individuals that It wants to serve. Although they may eventually become the lessons they have tried to be, an uncertain Future is not where we should direct focus. This moment is all we truly have to make Our Own.

So we begin each day with the hope that by its end, we will have made it somehow better. Yet each day starts with a great uncertainty, for this is far from an easy existence. Observe whatever form of current events you prefer, and there is the Evidence. Most of us have been cultured to do whatever it takes to prevent such tragic events from inflicting themselves on us. In our need for personal survival, somehow the Greater Purpose has gotten lost.

We do not want to starve our bodies, but mental nourishment is of greater importance. We do not want our minds to falter, but spiritual growth means more. We do not want to believe the evidence of the media, but personal experience supports it. This temporal world is Beyond Our Understanding.

We do not know what Purpose we serve; We only know the Burden of Our Hearts. Those of Us who are called to walk through fire on nothing but Faith, may have thought Faith would keep us from Pain, but Belief is accepting torture willingly.
