Art Defined

 

Art is defined by the emotional reaction inspired regardless of judgement. It can be found in a sculpted piece, a musical number, a captured moment, or even the miracle blooming of a morning glory that is seen by no human eye. Art is unlimited by intention or medium or even creator both Great and small. It generates both love and hate, in proportions barely discernible and overwhelming.

Moments pass, and it's glory is lost, not because there were none to share in it, but because the observer did not hold it to them. They let it pass with a mere glimpse, scarcely touching on the possibilities; listening with a half grown ear when the taste of something more permeates the air. It is here, then gone, magic lingering in the wind rather anyone believes or not.

The greatest creation, perhapse is not the created, but the belief in the artistic nature of the thing. It is, it continues, beyond it's given purpose. It gives ever more with each passing breath, even in ignorance of its Self. Things beyond understanding, beyond the "then" and the "when", make more of the moment, of the possibilities; of the reactions to the art.

With each stroke new life is presented to the universe, beyond intended meaning. Each breath forward moves with meaning placed by the beings of life. Each day I open my eyes, I see the art beyond my understanding, and I know I am part of the masterpiece.
