Not everyone knows much about their town.  It doesn’t matter if they grew up there or recently moved to it.  What they do know is learned through a few sentences learned from wrote in school or glossified advertisement.  Those who are lucky have caught some golden treasure dropped by one of the other inhabitants.  Every town has a story…

There’s a certain part of the Appalachians that gets lost between the Catskills and the Smoky Mountains.  You almost can’t tell where one begins and the other ends.  Not as high at the Rockies, this first boundary on the American Western Frontier is dotted with the most wonderful crops from Johnny’s apple seeds to Linus’ great Pumpkin Patches.  Being the vacation home of the greatest Northerners and their helpers, the Christmas tree farms are as well tended as the corn.  No wonder it has magical qualities.

There is a town here, rich in history of humanities struggle to survive.  With an industrial revolution that still impacts the current residents, even the local river contributes.  A crossroads of humanity, the buildings stand in tribute to those who have come before.

Each building has its own story of generations of goings-on.  From the merry to the macabre, each impression has left behind a residue of memories to enchant today’s occupant.  Some buildings have a few more layers than others.

Because it started as a hospital, not only does it have a few more stories than most of the other buildings in town, it also has more than a few residents with stories about its tenure in this town.  It is one thing to listen to the experiences that give this home such a rich history, it is another thing to live it.
